Each mochila was handpicked in the desert of La Guajira to directly support Wayuu women, many of whom rely on this craft to sustain their children and livelihoods. Before making our purchase, we ensured that these handbags were handcrafted by the women we bought them from and that the proceeds would directly benefit their families, rather than going through an association or other entity.
